Magic Pack Meeting

The Theme for Pack Meeting this Month was Magic. The Bears got to perform some magic tricks. Spencer was awfully cute up there performing his tricks!

After that they played some games, including the candy bar game, except they used Kisses. It is amazing how much you can get those cubscouts to concentrate when there is chocolate involved!

Bridal Veil Falls

For my Birthday, I wanted to get out of the house (and away from the chores) and just spend the day somewhere. There is still snow in the mountains, but Provo Canyon was clear, so we decided to go to Bridal Veil Falls.
We had a lot of fun despite all of the wind. I think that Kayleen would have climbed all the way to the top if we would have let her!!
After we had a picnic we took the kids back up another trail. They weren't quite as excited the second time around. By now, the wind had kicked up so much dust that we felt like we were in a cloud!
Megan and Bobby joined us for the walk to the falls and for lunch. Bobby will probably love this picture. He was taking a break from studying for finals.
After our hike, we took the kids to BYU to the bookstore. They all loved that! I wanted my own BYU hat because I am always borrowing Tim's. I borrow his sweatshirts too, but I really like his sweatshirt so he may just have to continue to share!
All in all it was a fun day and just nice to spend the day out side (especially because as I am writing this it is snowing again!!!) You have to love spring in Utah!

Rock Canyon

After the Museum we went hiking up Rock Canyon above the Provo Temple. The kids scrambled up and down everything. Including up to this cave they could see. Then they convinced me to climb up too. I did okay until I reached the cave and turned around. I snapped a couple of pictures but then it was time to go back down. It was a beautiful day. We capped it off with ice cream at the creamery. One of these weekends we are going to hike the "Y" - another thing we never did when we were at BYU!

Bean Museum

In all the time we spent at BYU, Tim and I had never been to the Bean Museum. Robby went on a field trip and wanted to show us, so we took the kids on Saturday. The one where they are in a line they are holding a huge snake skin!!! They loved it! We went to breakfast first where I managed to get a shot of Jarom - He's 13 and doesn't want his picture taken (this is one of those where he will be rolling his eyes at me!)

Utah Blaze

So we attended our first Arena Football Game on Friday. We had nosebleed tickets, but the kids had a great time - until about partway though the third quarter when they decided they were bored (maybe about the same time as their ice cream and water ran out...) Anyway we stuck it out to the end only to see the Blaze lose by 3 points!

Basketball

The snow from our crazy winter has finally melted enough to bring the Basketball hoop out to the cul-de-sac. Spencer has been keeping up on his skills on the indoor hoop he got for his birthday (it is a great addition to the decor in our living room!) but he is thrilled to be outside. He is always looking for someone to play with him - he'll even settle for his Mom!

Valentine's Day Snow

A little behind, but we had such a great time on our late start day. By the time it stopped snowing it was a beautiful day. The snow drifts were 3-4 feet tall. Robby decided the drifts were a great start to a snow cave!
