Temple Quarry

We had a little to to kill and were on the east side, so we headed up the canyon to the Temple Quarry site. I have only been here one other time and that was in the dark with the priests and laurels.
I have very fond memories of that trip and Mindi and I planned this amazing object lesson about having a purpose and a plan and knowing your own direction - right Mindi??

Anyway, it is quite different in the daytime and we had a great time. The kids climbed up every rock and down every ravine and I just snapped pictures. The views were amazing and though I sometimes miss the trees and lakes of Northern California, there is nothing like our Utah Mountains!

Okay, between you and Jaqui, you go to the funnest places! I can hardly wait to have a family so I can steal all of your ideas!

What a great idea! I don't even know where that is. You will have to tell me how to get there so I can take my kids. I also want to know the object lesson you used with the youth so I can copy that too. I guess I missed that activity, being JUST the secretary. :)

man.. I remember that lesson. all the thought and preperation that went into!! Amazing.. not to mention getting lost on the way up there ... we were winners all the way, But really all that matters was that no one had any idea where we pulled that one from and also that the scary man in the truck did not kill us on the spot!!
